On February 15th, 2024, Cornerstone engineers swiftly responded to alerts from internal monitoring tools indicating a service disruption.
Clients hosted in the UK SL2 (AWS) Prod swimlane encountered intermittent issues accessing their portal.
Cornerstone engineers were engaged for investigation and troubleshooting pointed to the issues with session abuse.
This was resolved by terminating abusive sessions.
In order to prevent similar incidents in the future and minimize the risk of recurrence, Cornerstone is actively collaborating internally with the database team. Discussions have taken place regarding internal optimizations aimed at preventing such incidents from happening again.
